Jogging Strollers

Jogging strollers have gained much popularity among today's active parents. First introduced in the 1980's, it has steadily gained popularity as it becomes more and more appropriate to the modern busy lifestyles that most of us lead.

Depending on the quality and features  of the the stroller, you can expect to shell out anywhere from a hundred dollars to three hundred dollars. Here are some features of a jogging stroller that you may want to take note of:

Adjustable Seats - this feature is popular amongst parents whose child is below three months old. The built-in reclining seat provides additional support for the child's head.

Shock Absorbers - these are useful when it comes to more bumpy terrain. You may want to consider this feature if you are more active. This will help to ensure a smoother journey for your child.

Wheels - they range from 12" to 24" in diameter. The larger the wheel, the easier it is to push and obviously the smoother the ride. For jogging on a rougher surface, bigger wheels are recommended.

Harness - this is one of the most important security feature you have to take note of. This advance seat belt will keep your child safe within the stroller on bumpy roads and sudden brakes.

Brakes - the basic stroller comes with handbrakes that work like a normal bicycle brake. There are also some that offers parking brakes.

These are just some of the basic features. There are so many jogging strollers on the market today that it is almost impossible to find

one that suits your needs. Take your time to look through the features, price and most importantly, how suitable it is for your usage - whether you are using it for walking or heavy jogging.
